Kindness

I recently gave a talk and linked my topic back to the basic and simple act of kindness.  I'm ever aware that our words can have such great strength and impact in both tearing down and lifting both others and ourselves.  It doesn't cost anything or take a lot of effort to speak kind words to each other but yet it can brighten someone's day and make them feel as though they have value.

I'm reminded of a song that I would sing to my daughter when she was young.

Children's Songbook:

Kindness Begins With Me

I want to be kind to everyone,

For that is right you see.

So I say to myself remember this,

Kindness begins with me.

Please be conscious of the words you use and make extra efforts to make them kind.
